When it comes to an evaluation of their skill of taking photos, how many of them can claim that, they are expertise in photography. If you follow some basic tips and tricks on photography, you can be an expert in this field.

You have to accept the fact that photography is an art in itself. Whether you are a beginner or a professional, you should get the hang of the theory of photography to get the best out of it. Try to get yourself down on the level of the object which you are going to capture to your photo. The selection of the background is another important step in photography. You should be able to choose colors or plain background according to the mood and the intension of the photograph.

You should have a proper knowledge on using flash and lighting needed for each situation where you are using a camera. Depending on the light availability in the surroundings, you should adjust the light of the room also. If you are taking photos outdoors, you should be able to get proper sunlight and from the right angle for your photograph.

Focusing is another major aspect of taking photographs. If you are far away from the object, your photo might not have the needed clarity. Hence you will have to move closer to the object. For this, you must have an idea about the flash and the category of the camera. Proper adjustments can be made in the camera flash to make the photo clearer.

You should understand the mood and must be able to add dramatic statement to the photos as and when needed. A proper capturing of shadows is needed for getting such a dramatic photograph.

If you are into the world of photography, after your first experience, you will realize the importance of lighting in photography. When you have the photograph in your hands, you can see the effect of lighting showing off there. There are some tips on lighting which will give a unique impression to the photograph you are taking.

If you are taking the photograph of a metal, always focus the light at a forty-five degree angle to the surface of the object. Those pictures which are taken in a diffused light will appear softer and will have fewer shadows. If you use a harsh and direct light, you can increase the number of shadows to your photo.

You should know the type of light to be used for taking particular and specific pictures. When you are going to take portraits, remember to use soft light.

If you want to add a dream quality to your memories in photographs, you can use a softer lighting similar to the natural light of early morning or evening. When taking photographs in the indoors, prefer to use candles as the source of light. At the same time, if you are planning to take photographs in the outdoors, fill flash can be used. You can also place your object in the shade or better wait for overcast day.

Sometimes, you might be looking for a photograph with a dramatic statement. In such cases, use bright light which will add more amounts of deep shadows on your image. You can simply work with it and make it to appear as if in a dramatic impression. You have to use different angles while working with photography and lights. Different poses and angles will create amazing photos. If you want to avoid the notice received for the light, you can simply use the light coming from above the object while taking the photograph.

In short, playing with light will add wonder to the photos being taken.

Have you ever been excited by the thought of clicking those beautiful round pebbles on the sea shore or have you ever imagined how the snow-capped mountain peaks captured within your frame would fascinate anyone? Well, than it is time for you to grab some photography tips for beginners.

1) First and foremost you should always have a subject matter in mind. If you do not have any particular subject on mind or the photograph would not convey any graphical interest or mood, this probably would not turn out to be an interesting photo.

2) You must always remove the things which do not add any value to the picture and moreover if they tend to detract from the prime or central theme of the photo.

3) If you are not sure what exclude and include in the picture then simply try to add a simple background.

4) Don’t be afraid to get very close or zoom in. Its a misconception that great pictures are only taken from a distance. Always try and remove the uncluttered background and make the picture simple and expressive.

5) Try not to center your subjects automatically. When you are trying to apply the rule of the thirds then make sure you pay proper attention to the position of the eyes.

6) Make sure you hold the camera at the proper level while clicking the images. It will totally break the photo’s strength if the angle is not proper. Tilting the photo later can lead a loss in image quality. For this, the only thing, which you can do, is practise as much as you can to hold your camera level.

7) Eyes are regarded to be the storyteller of the photograph or picture. The quality of the photo tends to decrease if you are not featuring the eye sharply.

8) While making use of the flash, watch the distance, as most of the non professional flashes do not work at a nearby distance.

9) As a golden rule, you must try and make use of the full range of luminosity which, in turn makes your photos vivid and dynamic.
